Classroom Education Project
With the
relocation of the Technical College of the Lowcountry to Bluffton, many members
have requested convenient local classes to learn word processing, e-mail,
Internet, spreadsheet, banking, database, web site building and other
applications.
The Classroom
Education Committee has a goal to begin teaching computer application classes in
2009 in the SHARE center.
The plans
call for an initial class size of six.
The class will be equipped with a computer for each student with wireless
access to the network and the Internet. The instructor’s computer will be
connected to a projector.
Each course
will run for four to six class sessions. Each class session will last from 1 to
1.5 hours. Within each application,
courses may include basic, intermediate and advanced levels, as demand
dictates. A survey will help determine
the courses offered.
A reasonable fee may be charged to enroll in a course.
