Meet Jolyn Bowler

Jolyn, has been a resident of Hilton Head Island since 1973. She moved from the New York City area where she was born and raised.
She started working with personal computers in 1982 and has had a fascination for computers and technology since the age of 12 when she read Madeline L’Engle’s John Newbery Award winning book A Wrinkle in Time.
She joined HHICC in 1991 and immediately began volunteering at our monthly meetings as greeter. She spent 3 years as Membership Director, was our second Webmistress from 1998 through the beginning of 2001 and was our President for four years.
She currently serves as Resource Center Director and chairs four SIGs. You can find her on duty as a Volunteer at the Resource Center each Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to her computer work, Jolyn sings and plays guitar & harmonica in the local band “The Islandeers”. She started her own computer consultation business in 1995 and helps people make peace with their computers.
