Meet Pete Everett

Pete Everett became a fixture here as a volunteer helping our members and getting involved in the Club because of his life-long love of education. Pete was born and raised in Scarsdale, NY, earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Cornell. He taught College in Binghamton, NY for 14 years and then in Des Moines, IA for 21. He also served in the US Army.
He and his wife Sharon moved to Hilton Head Island in 1996. He found and joined HHICC in 1998 due to his friendships & tennis playing with Bob Hattersley and Harvey Beeferman. Pete was one of our major advocates through the years. He was our VP in 2008 and President in 2009 and volunteered weekly for many years. He also had many wonderful contributions to Island Computing and the continuing education of our members.
Pete was warm and generous with his knowledge and time. His experience as an educator shone with the work he did to help our members.
