“Cutting the Cord” is sometimes used to mean: getting around your cable or satellite provider to get free TV over the air. In our area that requires an antenna system (frequently indoors, due to POA regulations) to fish local channels from the airwaves. In this talk I will concentrate on why you might want to do that, how to accomplish it, and some issues you will encounter.
I will also touch on an alternative, streaming, that is becoming a useful tool to get more control of TV content and costs. In the end, you might want to consider both methods.
You will receive from this presentation an overview of the terminology, methods and issues to help you understand the opportunities and make better decisions.
